Dot Levine was truly the perfect master of ceremonies at our wedding. We had the classic wedding challenge of uniting multiple groups of people (who would normally have nothing to do with each other) at one event they would hopefully enjoy. These challenges were generational, cultural, religious, political, and linguistic. Dot’s ensemble of incredible jazz and klezmer musicians was truly the universal thing that made everybody happy.
Dot lit up our wedding ceremony with glamour, joyous song, and grace. They pulled a Yiddish love song out of their trove, charming our grandmothers to no end and setting the perfect backdrop for a moment that we will ALWAYS cherish.
Dot did a fabulous job, from learning my brother’s favourite and pretty obscure songs, to being brilliant at communication, to really making such a friendly and fun event. My brother was surprised and thrilled to bits and he and his family ended up inviting Dot to join them for the birthday dinner. Very talented and very likeable. Thanks Dot!
